So it’s that time at the start or end of the class, when students have their phones out or are talking among themselves. For Morgan Seemann, that’s the time to put the finishing touches on a red dragon, a Pokemon figure, or a red and yellow monster.

She’s made hundreds of creatures, creatures that she says take anywhere from five minutes to 10 hours to design and assemble. Earlier this year, she even sold over 100 of her creatures at a Rochester Institute of Technology Anime Convention called Toracon.

Morgan became interested in making animals out of pipe cleaners back in sixth grade.  “When I started, I was bored at camp,” she said.  Today, “It’s just a cool hobby that I do.”
